2.The Problem With “Healthy” Foods
One thing I slowly realized is that many people – including me – treat healthy foods as if they have no limits.
Especially in Japan, foods like natto and tofu are often seen as universally good. They are affordable, easy to prepare, high in protein, and deeply connected to everyday Japanese meals.
So I kept eating them constantly.
If a food is healthy, then more should be better, right?
That was my mindset for a long time.
I was also trying to keep my fat intake low while maintaining enough protein. Because of that, soy-based foods became an easy solution.
But eventually I started wondering if something felt off.
Not dramatically. Nothing cinematic happened. It was more subtle than that.
I simply stopped feeling balanced.
