UPDATED: Padres Have Signed top 13 Selections from 2016 Draft

UPDATED, 7/14/16 — The Padres announced today that they have signed INF G.K. Young, OF Jack Suwinski, OF Treyvne Carter and INF Ethan Skender.

In total now, the Padres have signed 31 of their 43 overall selections, including each of their first 14 selections and 23 of their top 26 from the 2016 Draft.

The 2016 First-Year Player Draft saw the Padres with a bounty of picks. In fact, San Diego owned 6 of the first 85 picks, including 3 in the top 25, returning to the first round after not having a pick in the opening round last year.

Here is a progress report on where the Padres stand in signing the various selections they made.

As far as a timetable for the remaining unsigned picks, the Padres have until 2:00 p.m. PT on July 15 to sign high school players and college players with remaining eligibility. Every other college player can be signed between now and the start of the 2017 MLB draft.
