Four years ago I woke up and made a decision that changed my life.

No dramatic moment. No rock bottom story. I just decided — clearly, quietly, and completely — that I no longer wanted alcohol in my life.

And that was enough.

(Don’t get me wrong: I had thought about it for years, and definitely had problems but nothing catastrophic… thank you, universe.)

What followed wasn’t a loss. It was the opposite.

Clarity I didn’t know I was missing. A version of myself I didn’t know existed. And eventually, three of the most remarkable women I’ve ever known…

Sue was vibrant, funny, wise in the way that only comes from having actually lived it. Definitely the sage of our 4-woman group that formed after our recovery company went through an acquisition.

And she had a phrase all of us loved: the silver lining of sobriety.

The unexpected gifts.

The clarity.

The life you find on the other side of the fog.

At 70 years young, Sue was diagnosed with aggressive pancreatic cancer. She passed at 71.

Her words stayed with us.

They became our name.

As we continued to meet after Sue’s passing (albeit, rough) Andrea conceived of joining all of our talents into a business…
