mpETH is now spETH

spETH is now Meta Pool’s official liquid staking token on the Ethereum network.

Following the recent security incident on Ethereum, Meta Pool has now fully restored liquid staking functionality on the network. We’re pleased to announce that the recovery process is complete and a new version of our liquid token asset has been launched: **spETH* — short for Meta Pool Staking Pool Ethereum, affectionately referred to internally as Señor Pool Ethereum :)*

What has changed?

• mpETH has been officially replaced by spETH.
• **No staked ETH was lost. All wallets holding mpETH prior to the exploit have now received an equivalent amount of spETH via airdrop** to the same address.
• spETH reflects the accumulated rewards: While staking was paused, the underlying ETH continued earning rewards through the SSV Network, and these are now reflected in a higher exchange rate for spETH.
• **spETH metrics**: All metrics related to mpETH have been updated to reflect spETH. You can view the updated details on our Grafana dashboard.

What should users do?

Nothing is required to claim spETH — if you held mpETH, you now have spETH in your wallet.
