The 5 Basic Colors You Need In Your Wardrobe Even If You Are Bad In Styling
[SHORT READ] When you manage to get all these five colors into your closet, you won’t have to waste hours of your precious time and risking yourself being late to your date nights, hangouts or business meetings. Having these basic colors with you are like having just the foundation of basic fashion and you can literally find them everywhere including thrift stores!
1.Black
Tips: Black bottoms (pants, jeans and skirts) pairs well with any colors for your tops. Even a plain yellow T-Shirt with a black mini skirt will look edgy on a girl.
- White
Tips: If you aren’t afraid of getting your white clothes stained, then this will be a quick go-to look for any types of events or dates in general, ranging from a casual hangout to a professional ones. White is the answer!
- Beige
Tips: if you are into the ‘old money rich’ type of look, try to pair any beige outfit with another lighter beige or white colored and you can also spice up the look by adding a coat and put on some shades. Say hello to the new you!
- Navy Blue/Blue
Tips: Any blue in general are mostly suitable for office workers or work purposes because I’ve never seen anyone wearing blue to hangouts & blind dates but if they do, they probably didn’t have the time to change into a more decent outfit. Anyhow, blues are great with other blues! For instance, if you are a guy and you plan to wear blue in the office, get a blue inside shirt and a darker blue blazer/suit and you’ll have girls swoon over you anytime. As for girls, it’s actually easier to style in blue for the ladies and you can never go wrong with a blue cropped top and a denim jeans. It’s giving Miranda Kerr vibes.
- Grey
Tips: Just a personal thought but I feel like grey colored outfits are suitable for women with short hair. I feel like it compliments them more and it gives off the rich housewife/blogger look especially if they decided to head out on the streets with grey sweatpants and hoodies. However, if you opt for a more athletic looking style, grey is a suitable basic look for you! As for guys, try to invest more in grey pants. Trust me, they look good every time if you never skip leg days.
That’s about it, all tips and remarks on the topics of ‘Basic wears’ summarized in a short blog for you fashionista beginners. After a while, you’ll get tired of these five colors, therefore you can always move onto bolder colors like red, navy green and brown. Happy matching!
Love,
The sassiest fashionista you’ll ever encounter. (Thank you Miranda Priestly for shaping me into who I am now)
