Why Amazon A+ Content Sometimes Fails to Display

Have you ever spent hours creating Amazon A+ Content, carefully designing every module, submitting everything successfully — and seeing it marked as Approved — only to realize that nothing shows up on the product page?

That’s exactly what happened to us.

When I took over Amazon Seller Central management, I quickly noticed that much of our existing A+ Content was outdated and no longer aligned with our brand standards. We decided to refresh everything: reviewing competitors, reworking messaging, and redesigning the overall structure.

After hours of preparation, we published the new A+ Content. Every single module was approved without issue.

Yet none of it appeared on the product pages.

The Investigation

At first, I assumed this was a temporary glitch.

I re-uploaded the content multiple times. Tested different variations. Reached out to Amazon Seller Support repeatedly.

Each time, support confirmed that the A+ Content was approved and that the product pages appeared normal on their end. However, no one could explain why the content wasn’t visible to customers.

Eventually, after exhausting standard support channels, I escalated the issue to our Account Manager and requested a deeper investigation.

That’s when the real reason became clear.

The Hidden Rule: Vendor vs Seller Central

Vendor Central A+ Content takes precedence over Seller Central A+ Content.

In simple terms: If an ASIN has A+ Content published in Vendor Central — even if it’s old, inactive, or forgotten — Seller Central A+ Content will not display, regardless of approval status.

This rule is not clearly documented in Amazon’s public help pages, and it’s rarely mentioned by first-level support. Yet it has a significant impact on brands operating in hybrid Vendor + Seller setups.

How We Fixed It

In our case, the situation was more complex. Our brand, Parissa, had Vendor Central history across multiple countries. To resolve the issue, we had to remove A+ Content from all Vendor Central instances associated with the affected ASINs.

Once that was done, Seller Central A+ Content finally appeared on the product pages. We also gained access to A+ Pro, which offers more advanced modules and greater flexibility compared to standard A+ Content.

Key Takeaway

If your Amazon A+ Content is approved but invisible, the issue may not be your content at all.

It may be Vendor Central.

This was one of those Amazon lessons you don’t learn from documentation — only by running into it firsthand.
