2000 crore for Hindu refugees from POJK
The Union Government has sanctioned Rs. 2000 crore on 22 Dec 2016 for providing financial assistance to 36,384 displaced families (Rs. 5.5 lakh per family) from Pakistan Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK) and Chhamb, now living in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Government has requested beneficiary details to be collected such that the financial assistance can be transferred directly to beneficiary’s accounts. The State Government has collected documents relating 3,135 beneficiaries as of 16 March 2017.
