Can you see me now?

Hot air, fast winds, nice lights,huge buildings. I see you as you cross the streets. Can you see me? Do you remember me? We’re stretched so far apart, still unable to reach I scream as loud as u can, but you still can’t hear me. I cry, I weep — tears still falling, and no one seems to notice me. Do you still care? Do you miss me? Can you remember the secret you told me? Every night I dream but I still can’t bear to lose you. I close my eyes and say a prayer, one that comes deep down from my heart. I do care. I did miss you. And I wish the secret you told me had been true. How could you? How could you? How could you lie? That hurt me deep down inside. Did you ever care? Did you know you used me and threw me away? Did you ever have feelings for me at all? Was I ever good enough? I have shown you so much love. Was there someone else you loved besides me? Was she more than I could ever be? The pain I feel now — I hope you feel it too. I am moving on. But I’ll always be there, in the hot air, riding the fast winds, staring at the nicest lights, walking past huge buildings. And I’ll watch you, everyday, as you cross those streets.

Moral: Loving someone deeply who is no longer emotionally reachable, even though they are still “visible” in your life. It captures the pain of being ignored, forgotten,replaced,while still caring and remembering what once felt real. It mixes with the city imagery (streets, lights, buildings,wind) with emotional distance,showing how alone someone can feel even in a busy world.
