On Thursday, May 30th, Logitech will host the Brilliance Loves Company networking event, presented by Kollective Hustle, at their North America headquarters in San Jose, California.

In honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, the event will bring together business professionals, creators, community leaders, and members of Asian American Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) from companies across the Bay Area, including Google, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Cisco, and EA. These groups are tightly-knit communities based on shared life experiences and characteristics, which serve to build trust among and offer career development for all active members. The Brilliances Loves Company networking event aims to provide professional growth and guidance for all Asians and Asian allies who attend.

This event is free of charge and open to all who are interested. Please continue reading for a link to RSVP.

LogiASIANS, one of many ERGs at Logitech, meets several times a month to discuss cultural, social, and political issues affecting the Asian American diaspora — and hosts various special events throughout the year. Most recently, the group organized an origami class, an Asian women-in-tech panel, and a guest appearance by comedian and writer Julie Kim. The Brilliance Loves event represents LogiASIANS’ capstone for AANHPI Month, and is an opportunity for Asians and allies throughout the Bay Area to come together in celebration and community.

“The LogiASIANS ERG is meant to create a network that provides support, belonging, and a safe space at Logitech,” explains Jennifer Treopaldo, Community Engagement Lead at Logitech. “We exist to empower our community to advocate for increased AANHPI inclusion and representation while being a voice and catalyst for change.”

In December of 2023, Kollective Hustle, an organization dedicated to empowering and connecting the North American Filipino diaspora, partnered with Logitech to organize the first Brilliance Loves networking event, which featured live discussions, music, and catered food from local Asian artists and businesses. Additionally, the organization also collaborated with LogiASIANS to coordinate a speaker panel consisting of local Filipino American leaders in October, Filipino American History Month.

A recap of the first Brilliance Loves Company event is featured here. Additionally, follow this link to a full recording of the Filipino American History Month panel.

“Going to the Brilliance Loves Company event last year allowed us to connect with many knowledgeable folks — and come away with new ideas and fresh inspiration,” says Trung Tran, Senior Digital Optimization Strategist at Logitech, who attended December’s event.

“Back in December, people were already asking me: ‘When’s the next one? When are we meeting again?’” says Bay Area native Romeo Marquez Jr., who co-founded Kollective Hustle in 2019. “It goes to show that there’s power in live connection. Being able to meet with someone face-to-face allows people to see the value in community-building even beyond the event.”

Kollective Hustle, a brand that operates under the prominent Filipino media network ABS-CBN, looks to empower the next generation of Filipino American professionals by spotlighting industry experts who have turned their dreams and passions into careers. The organization produces a variety of content on the importance of Filipino American unity, including news articles, blog posts, and videos — while also sponsoring events with local Filipino communities and hosting their own mentorship and internship programs for up-and-coming Filipino American changemakers. Kollective Hustle has been featured on ABC, FOX, and TFC (The Filipino Channel) and worked with such prominent individuals as Jeremy Passion, P-Lo, and Asia Jackson.

“Kollective Hustle unites the emerging generation of Filipinos across North America in transforming their ideas into action, passion into profession, creativity into careers, and to inspire a global culture of collaboration,” Marquez Jr. explains.

Professionals involved with the organization, whether through its mentorship program or other channels, are currently employed at companies such as Facebook, Amazon, Pinterest, and Uber.

“Once we bring the different communities together at this event, we’re going to realize how powerful we are as a culture — and that can make an impact not only in our professional lives, but our personal lives as well,” Marquez Jr. asserts. “Being able to have that dialogue and understand the similarities we have with one another has allowed people to create mentorships, business partnerships, and life-long friendships.”

In addition to the ERG leaders from all participating companies, 2024’s Brilliance Loves Company event at Logitech will feature several prominent local Filipino keynote speakers, including:

Romeo Marquez Jr. (Co-creator of Kollective Hustle)

Gina Mariko Rosales (Founder of Make It Mariko)

Alex Martin (Founder of Who Cares)

Charity Nicolas (Senior Director at Stantec)

Jaron Liclican (Customer Success Manager/Freelancer)

“We’re very excited to host our second Brilliance Loves Company event this May 30th as it culminates our AANHPI celebrations this month,” explains Treopaldo. “The event will help us build upon the success of our first event in December, where we made new connections and saw in real-time ideas made into actions.”

“The importance of Brilliance Loves Company and the true meaning of what it means to be in the company of this community is to celebrate the culture that envelops all the different facets of the Asian diaspora,” she adds.

This event represents the third collaboration between LogiASIANS and Kollective Hustle — and would not be possible without the hard work and dedication from all who helped organize, from the teams at Kollective Hustle and LogiASIANS to the keynote speakers and leadership at various ERGs.

For those interested, please follow this link to RSVP for the event, which begins at 5pm and will be held at Logitech’s North America headquarters, 3930 North First Street San Jose, CA 95134.
