I think I want to be a spy

Spies are cool.

Like who are we kidding. Having the knowledge and ability to manipulate people and situations to get information or a desired outcome. Or maybe I just wanna learn how to fight.

First things first, I need to know how to throw a punch. A girl’s got to defend herself. It’s such a basic thing :’). Why have I never done this before 😭😭

Anyways …so Shadow Boxing Punching the air basically. Thank God I’m not doing this in public. I would make fun of myself at this point.

What? Don’t act like you don’t talk to yourself

I did not expect my back to be so sore from punching the air. It was air. AIR!!!

Shadow Boxing is the act of practising defensive movements in the air as if fighting an imaginary opponent. It requires no equipment and builds muscle memory, footwork, and cardiovascular endurance.

Now that I feel like I could actually throw a punch and make it hurt. I feel like that’s the easy part of being a spy. The fighting I mean. Obviously it does take training. A lot of it. But the other part is psychological. Knowledge, abilities, languages … I feel like this list can get very long.

I guess I can start by learning a language. The way I understand it, we surround Alice completely with the language and she learns to adapt faster. Throw her in the deep end. But do I learn to read and write as well? Or is speaking enough. I mean the more the better, right.

Okay small history lesson on me. I’m South Indian. Half Telugu, one eighth Kannadiga and the rest of me is Tamil. Confusing, yes. The point is that my parents are from various language backgrounds. My dad can speak 5 languages. Me on the other hand. I grew up speaking English. Only English. I can barely speak Tamil and I grew up in Tamil Nadu.

I suppose the most useful language to learn would be Hindi. That way I can actually keep up with politics and what’s happening in this confusing not so little country these days. Ughhhhh.

Now how tf do I surround myself with hindi? I’ve been seeing adds for Pimsleur a lot lately. Turns out their approach is very much science backed and looks like it will work. Plus even the community says it’s effective. But it’s paid. And not cheap paid. WTF that’s a lot of money.

If I do learn Hindi in a month, I’ll learn Russian next. Then Spanish maybe. Damn, this might actually be a good side quest. The problem is I actually have to be consistent. I can do that. Right?

I suppose we’ll find out
