The ladies on a mission

Jane continues the story…

Ben gives Kim a harsh, brutal answer to her question. “Do you know if Jack is cheating on Sally?” Askès Kim. “Mind your own business,” said Ben angrily. “Ben, why are you speaking to me in this tone? These are our very good friends. What do you know that you are not saying?” asks Kim excitedly.

“This discussion is over”! says Ben, as he struts out of the room. Kim takes a minute to think about what just happened. Kim thinks, I have known Ben a long time, and there is something he knows but does not want to share. Maybe Sally is correct. The men are great friends; they play tennis together and watch sporting events… Ben knows, and I am going to find out what he knows, Kim vows to herself.

Kim and Sally put a plan together. They will both keep logs of where the husbands go and what they do when they are not around. This calls for some covert espionage. There is a mystery here, and they believe they will find out what it is.

The ladies lunching in the cafe are now eating dessert. “Jane, you can’t leave me with an unending story, “ says Meredith. “Let's take a walk. Can you guess the ending? asked Jane? “It is a lot”!
