Closeness

A few days ago, one of my beloved friends sent me a post written in Javanese, it said :

From : Myself

To : My friend

“Let’s keep being friends, even if we rarely text and meet once a year.

Keep update your stories so I can see your activities. Keep making progress, living your life and always be happy”

That was so sweet.

We used to be that close, shared our thoughts, stories, happiness even tears almost everyday. We visited many places together without planing far ahead.

Then I realized something about adult life, we meet many people in the past and some of them no longer with us. Some leave a trully unforgettable memories, while others give us priceless lessons.

Sometimes, we had to let go certain closeness. As time went by we gradually apart. Even though we promised to stay in touch, but we couldn’t keep it.

We’re in different stages of life, we can’t recreate same situation we had before, and that’s totally fine. That’s how life is supposed to be. As long as we know each other still alive and doing fine, that’s more than enough.
