2. Crop Diversification and Agronomic Shifts

Integrated water harvesting should be carried out in the upstream catchment areas of both rivers to maintain minimum ecological flows during non-monsoon months.

5. Inclusion of locals in Decision Making:

Although a comprehensive Environmental impact assessment (EIA) was undertaken, the vulnerable groups especially the tribal and scheduled castes living in the catchment area are the biggest victims. locals are protesting that they have not been involved in the decision making process which resulted in the further understanding and communication issues. thus, inclusion is needed, to not just democratize the whole process but to actually implement the principal of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas”.
