Encrypted Opportunity Markets — Bench

Before you deposit your next four figs into Prediction Market, Got an Alpha for yah. Side Note: Even your $5 is an edge. Simple Guide? Deposit into Benchdotmarkets and ride the oppurtunity markets.

Chad, Lock in!

Chad, Lock in!

While Everyone is deep into Prediction Markets and Perps, Chads at Arcium, were deep into trenches, not getting cooked but cooking several privacy apps for the encrypted ecosystem, currently live on Main-net Alpha amongst other apps is Bench{Opportunity Markets} powered by the Encrypted Supercomputer.

The thing with prediction market is you guess, or better still, predict! Felt funky last year, someone said “Is Arsenal going to win the 2025/2026 English premier league?”, sold my Uncle’s house and bought the share “Yes”, cos why not?! if things stays as it is we would buy the Yacht I promised him.

But, opportunity markets is a different ball game. It’s a different way of making statements with your convictions. This type of market is designed from two pov:

From the Creator Pov, can be regarded as the demand side. Bnasically an avenue to crowd source research, acquire hidden and actionable intelligence as well as discover early stage value. For Instance, I can create a Market focusing on “Most performing L1 for Q4 2026”

From a User POV, easily regarded as supply side, basically involves picking options following the creator market. It allows me, as a user to monetize my research, and expertise. In other words, My conviction is “Solana” for the Most Performing L1, based of my research and we up.

You are Probably thinking, so how does it work?

Yes, Opportunity Markets thrives on three Major components or workaround but because Bench is building on Arcium, there is the fourth estate. Basically someone “creates” a “market”, and someone “trades” that market based of his convictions, and the market “resolves” with a certain tune to the flow of capital, the fourth Ingredient that Bench, powered by Arcium brings to the game is “Privacy Layer”, It is at this point, I expect the reader to shout Gmpc! Hehehe.

- The Creator. This is the major engine of opportunity markets, like Polymarkets where you see Markets, like “Will Megaeth launch above ICO price”, such is created in Bench Markets too, but here is the catch. You get more options than the traditional “yes or no”, and the creator is not limited to the team. Creators launch a market by establishing a prize pool and providing a set of options, therefore if you fulfill the criteria to be a creator, you can create a market, and and determine the options, also, the contents of the options can be added both by the user and the creator. • The User. This is the part where I will be turning up, until proven otherwise. As a matter of fact, got in on the first batch of wait-list and we benching since then. This part simply involves deploying capital into your convictions. For instance, where a Market says ‘Top projects to watch in 2026’ with options including ‘Arcium, Miden, Fairblock’. At this point the creator must have created a prize pool. The user picks an option and stake his bet, ready to ride to valhalla. The most intriguing part of this mechanism is, there is no slashing of wrong convictions, in other words, should in-case you were wrong, you get your stake back, only winners shares part of the prize pool. Also, Users get to add options to support their convictions.

P.S. in this image, I staked my option with a $50 on @Oxtochi, on the market “ Who’s a good Market Hire”.

  • Resolution

This is the part where I answer, how the market are resolved because Markets resolution are the very important part of the game. Ideally, every markets get a time-gap, some will run into days, weeks and even months, depending on informations about the market. Once the time alloted fills, the market creator review the aggregated convivtions and subjectively resolve the market, this is the point where he close the market and chooses an option based on insight that aligns with their specific needs. At this point, you willl remember that a prize pool is always locked into the smart contract when the market was to be created, upon closing the market, bounty is unlocked and distributed to the users who backed the chosen option, payouts are based on the stakes the user pulled in. But I got some take aways for you..

Before the takeaways, at this point the market has been resolved, and thiugh I lost my bet, no slashing!! Observe the image.

Things to note about the resolution part of Oppurtunity Markets.

. If the creator doesn’t pick your option, you are not cooked. You simply get your stakes back.

. Unlike Prediction Markets, the creator is an Oracle, and market are subjectively resolved

. Options selected are encrypted, and even at the point of resolution.

- The Privacy Infrastructure: Anybody can see what’s happeninng on polymarkets, anyone can see who is buying what, and just how much is used in bidding what, regardless whether it’s a prediction market, or not, what’s important is, markets activity are public, now talking about Bench, things are done differently. When a user stakes their capital on a conviction, Arcium Infra, encrypts that data, nobody knows where the money is coming from, the transactions are shield through Multiparty computation, as if that’s not enough, Arcium ensures that only the person who funded the prize pool has the cryptographic key to unlock and view the Alpha once the market closes. Without much ado, all actions on the opportunity markets are encrypted.

With that said, Bench building on the encrypted ecosystem is on some turbo movement type shii. While it is currently on Mainnet Alpha, waitlist got closed few days back, and we played around, ggs if you got in, if you didn’t, well, all you need to know is “I GOT IN”, and I did mention how I lost all my bets too, skills issue, huh?
