i see now why god had to die that on that cross was not salvation but a warning

and a promise

a whispered agony into nothing forgive them, they know not what they do as the centuries

piled on and on

to all the gods that the son of man would destroy i see now why god had to die

and take all the gods with him

it was so we could be free in that moment when god could not believe in himself there was

man looking on his freedom

then turning away unable to look upon the tortured gods and the freedoms they gave

as liberation became libation

as we killed the kings after killing god and finding that there was only humanity

looking around in horror
