Azure Solution Design AZ-305 part-1

In this article we will see a bird's eye view of Azure. We will discuss about design of azure subscriptions, resource group, management group and resources.

A new series on sharing my preparation tips for Azure certifications especially useful for AZ-305. This is a 10-part series which will be useful for beginners and refresher for users already using Azure.

We will begin with fundamentals of Azure.

Azure Subscription: We need an Azure subscription to start using Azure services. This is the first step towards Azure. Azure Resource Group: A resource group is created within a subscription to group resources-based locations or business use case. Azure Resources: Azure Resources are created within a resource group. Azure Management Group: Multiple Azure subscriptions can be grouped to one Management Group for easier Management and enforcement of policies.

👉 Value Proportion: A solution Architect must plan the architecture by ensuring the right mix of subscriptions, resource group and resources in each resource group appropriate for the Business functionality. It will depend on billing, departments and functionality of each department in the Organization.
