The 3 Lands at Universal Orlando That Need to Change

Chunk by chunk, The Lost Contintent at Islands of Adventure is being partially demolished, including the recently defunct Mythos rest (restaurant). And, it will not be the last themed area at a Universal theme park in Orlando, FLD. These are the 3 lands at Universal that have to change for the greater good.

1: Toon Lagoon/Marvel Superhero City — Islands of Adventure

With the Lost Continent area of IOA undergoing current changes, one of the park’s other areas, Toon Lagoon, remains a literal cut-through walking path to Jurassic Park and Harry Potter World. Because the area is quite underrated these days, it has to be replaced by a new IP, like Superman. It would be highly glorious if that was to happen — DC Universe’s Superman (created by James Gunn), set in Metropolis, alongside Matt Revees’ The Batman (in a different cinematic universe), but set in Gotham City (replacing Marvel Superhero City, on the other hand). The two merging lands would definitely make new use out of Toon Lagoon and Marvel Superhero City, iconic as that Marvel-themed land still is today. Besides, it would give Disney the easier oppurtunity to debut Avengers Campus at the Disney Studios at WDW, like those at DCA and Disney Adventure at Disneyland Paris.

2: Jurassic Park— Islands of Adventure

Another IOA themed land that has been altered with good cause, in which case, Jurassic World. Not just retheming the River Adventure ride to the titular films, like the one at Universal Studios Hollywood, but also, newly rethemed of the films to accompany the currently existent Velocicoaster. Still, Skull Island: Reign of Kong would have be spared amid the retheme somehow.

3: Springfield/World Expo — Universal Studios

Both Springfield and World Expo should be altered — Wicked should replace The Simpsons, while Moonfall should replace MIB: Alien Attack. Thus, an E-ticket ultra-immersive Moonfall attraction, based on the titular 2022 sci-fi disaster film by Roland Emmirech (similar to Rise of the Rebellion at WDW and Disneyland) and a Wicked-themed area and attraction(s), all would be quite suffice for Universal Studios. For now, The Simpsons and MIB iconically appease and immerse theme park patrons through and through.
