A DARKNESS THAT LURKS
Daily Poetry Prompt #47: “Racism”
Photo by Duncan Shaffer on Unsplash
My rights enable me to move freely around
and breathe the fresh air on the ground.
Life is meant to be unfettered and free
never to be humiliated but spread humanity.
The world with its global dimensions
color, culture and beliefs
can offer an abundance
of love and harmony.
I look for a world
devoid of all its darkness
A cankerous sore that spreads.
Let’s wipe out antagonism
and spread peace instead.
XOXO
