🌙 To the One Who Is Written for Me

A heartfelt prayer for the one I have yet to meet

Oh you, The soul whose name is written next to mine in the heavens, I pray you’re walking your path with dignity and light. I don’t know your face, But I ask Allah every night to keep your heart steady, Your gaze lowered, Your steps are firm on the road of righteousness.

I hope you’re guarding your heart just like I try to guard mine — from temptations, from fleeting comforts, from anything that may take us away from His mercy.

Because I want to meet you, not in haste, not in weakness, But in the best of my states — When I am healed, and whole, and walking toward Allah.

“The good women are for the good men, and the good men are for the good women.” (Qur’an — Surah An-Nur: 26)

Let this be our compass. May our love lift, not lower. May we love one another in a way that pulls us both closer to Jannah — not into regret, not into sin.

Let our love not be based on worldly gain, nor swayed by fleeting attraction, But may it be sealed by prayer, purified by sabr, and strengthened through tawakkul.

O you who is written for me… I do not seek perfection in you — only sincerity, only someone whose heart trembles when Allah is mentioned, whose dreams are not filled with dunya alone, But filled with hopes for Akhirah too.

May we meet when our love will not need to hide in the shadows, When our intentions are pure, And our hands are finally allowed to hold — With His name upon our lips.

“And among His signs is this: that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you love and mercy…” (Qur’an — Surah Ar-Rum: 21)

Until then, I will continue walking — slowly, sincerely — toward the One who holds both your heart and mine.

May He keep you safe. And when it is time, May He bring you gently… to me.
