JD Vance Found the Checkout Line

More slithering BS

All this before I finished my first cup of coffee because slimy JD Vance couldn’t hawk his new book detailing his “personal journey” back to Catholicism without turning it into bullshit. The book is supposed to be about belief, but it still ends up on Trump, because, of course, that’s part of the sales pitch.

Vance went on Fox News with Sean Hannity and tried to sell Trump as a “person of faith.” Then he said Christians were “critical parts of him getting to the presidency now two times and arguably three times.”

2016 was real. Trump won. 2024 was real. Trump won again. 2020 wasn’t real for Trump because Trump lost. That’s a fact. But, grimy, slimy JD Vance still chose to throw the conspiracy theory into an answer about faith.

That little “arguably three times” wasn’t an accident. Vance knew who would hear it, and he knew why it still worked. He needed Trump, Christian buyers, and the 2020 fantasy sitting together in the same sentence.

Then came the true part he really needed. “They were Christians.” That’s the sales pitch. Tell Christian buyers they mattered, make them feel central to Trump’s rise, and then move them toward the book.

That’s the cheap, slimy move. Use faith, use Trump, use the 2020 conspiracy theory, then call the whole thing a personal journey. Slimy JD Vance doesn’t even hide the sale well.

The book already came with its own warning label. A story about a journey back to Catholicism put a United Methodist church on the cover. Even the cover couldn’t keep the faith straight.

That’s where slimy JD Vance always seems to end up. He takes something serious, faith, family, country, working people, Christianity, and bends it toward his own climb. If it helps him rise, he’ll use it.

Vance knew exactly what he was doing with “they were Christians.” It’s the lowest kind of sales pitch. Praise the people you want money from, feed them the Trump story they already like, and then call it your journey back to faith.

How do you see it?
