مرے اشعار اے اقبال کیوں پیارے نہ ہوں مجھ کو
مرے ٹوٹے ہوئے دل کے یہ درد انگیز نالے ہیں
معانی: اشعار: شعر کی جمع ۔ ٹوٹا ہوا دل: محبت میں مایوسی کا شکار دل ۔ درد انگیزنالے: درد بھرے گیت ۔
مطلب: غزل کے مقطع میں اقبال خود کو مخاطب کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں کہ میرے اشعار مجھ کو اتنے پیارے اور جان و دل سے زیادہ عزیز کیوں نہ ہوں اس لیے کہ یہ تو میرے دل شکستہ کے درد انگیز نالوں کی مانند ہیں ۔
