A New Character Has Entered the Chat — My Boogie Doodles, Week 1 of June

TOMI says goodbye. JANE arrives. Six days of AR doodles, one color at a time.

One of my favorite things about My Boogie Doodles is that I rarely know what I’m going to draw next.

Every week begins the same way: a pen, a piece of paper, and no particular plan. Then somewhere between the first line and the last, a new character appears.

This week, that character was JANE.

The week began with the final entry in TOMI’s color series and ended with a brand-new doodle stepping into the AR world for the first time. Looking back, it felt less like six separate drawings and more like watching one chapter close while another quietly opened.

May 31, 2026 — Purple TOMI 💜

Purple TOMI marked the end of a small journey.

Over the past weeks, TOMI had appeared in a range of colors, each one bringing a slightly different personality to the same simple doodle. Purple felt like the right conclusion. More reflective than orange, calmer than yellow, and somehow a little more mature.

When I watched Purple TOMI dancing in AR, it didn’t feel like just another daily sketch. It felt like a farewell performance.

There’s something surprisingly satisfying about finishing a self-imposed creative series. Nobody is waiting for it. Nobody is asking for it. But completing it creates a sense of rhythm and momentum that keeps the next idea moving forward.

June 2, 2026 — JANE Appears 🌟

The day after TOMI’s finale, I grabbed a sticky note and started drawing.

No concept. No plan. No expectations.

A few minutes later, JANE was looking back at me.

The moment I pointed the My Boogie Doodles camera at the drawing, she stepped into AR and started moving. Even after creating dozens of doodle characters, that first moment still feels a little magical.

A flat sketch suddenly occupies real space.

A few lines of ink become something that feels strangely alive.

That’s the moment that keeps me coming back.

June 3, 2026 — Orange JANE 🧡

Every new character deserves a beginning.

Orange JANE was energetic from the start. The drawing itself was simple, but once animated, she seemed full of confidence and movement.

One thing I’ve learned from creating these color variations is that color changes perception more than shape does. The drawing remains almost identical, yet each color version feels like a different personality.

Orange JANE felt warm, outgoing, and ready to take center stage.

June 4, 2026 — Yellow JANE 💛

Yellow brought a different energy.

Where orange felt energetic, yellow felt joyful.

There is something about bright yellow characters that naturally creates a sense of playfulness. Watching Yellow JANE dance around the room reminded me why the phrase “Just Joy It” became part of the My Boogie Doodles identity.

Not every creative project needs to be serious.

Sometimes it’s enough to make something that simply makes you smile.

June 5, 2026 — Green JANE 💚

Green JANE felt surprisingly alive.

The drawing was minimal, using only the lines needed to define the character. Yet when she appeared in AR, she felt grounded, almost as though she belonged in the space rather than being placed there.

It’s interesting how different colors create different emotional responses.

The technology remains exactly the same.

The drawing process remains exactly the same.

Yet the experience somehow changes.

June 6, 2026 — Cyan JANE 🩵

The final doodle of the week was Cyan JANE.

Cyan often sits between blue and green without receiving much attention, but it turned out to suit JANE perfectly. Clean, bright, and slightly futuristic.

As I watched her dancing in front of me, I found myself thinking about how quickly these characters come into existence.

Twenty minutes earlier, she didn’t exist.

Now she was moving around my workspace as though she had always been there.

That’s still a fascinating transformation to witness.

What This Week Reminded Me

This week reminded me why I started building My Boogie Doodles in the first place.

You don’t need artistic training.

You don’t need expensive tools.

You don’t even need a detailed plan.

You just need a surface to draw on and the curiosity to see what happens next.

The app takes a simple doodle and gives it a chance to move, dance, and occupy space in the world around you.

Purple TOMI closed one chapter.

JANE opened another.

And somewhere on next week’s sticky notes, another character is probably waiting to be discovered.
