Thank You

I was thinking of a way to express my reaction to the seven Democrats who voted to continue the ICE funding. And at first I was angry like any other moral person. But the more I think about it, the more I’d like to thank them. As a Democratic voter, I’d like to thank them for obliterating the tiny sliver of space that separates centrist Democrats from Republicans. Because what these representatives are telling America is, when it comes down to voting for good versus evil, they choose evil. And I want everyone in their district who’s a Democratic voter to understand is that if they are your representative as a Democratic voter, by voting for them, you vote for evil. All you can do is attempt to primary them. If they eventually become your Democratic candidate in the future know that it does not matter how you vote, evil wins. So you can’t win. So don’t participate. Let the Republican win. Because the only thing you can do at that point is to have an extreme contrast between good and bad, right and wrong, moral and immoral.

And these people are immoral. There’s no place for evil adjacent. The Republicans have dragged them to a place where they cannot get out. And forget about bitching and moaning about Jeffries. We know who he is. He’s shown us who he is. Or Schumer. Or really any of the centrist neoliberal Democrats. We know who they are now. Period.

So we don’t have to waste our time and more importantly, our money as Democratic voters trying to convince them to be good people. They’re not. They chose to vote with evil. They did nothing to stop it.

So there you go. There you have it and I will say it again , they actually did you a favor. The only good thing those seven Democrats have done for this country is to show Democratic voters, both in their districts and in the country, who they are. You don’t need to interpret who they are any more. You don’t need to worry about how they’re going to vote. You don’t need to worry pondering, can I convince them to a moral position because you can’t.

You know now. They will side with evil. They like it. So there you have it. The only question you have now as a Democrat who does not live in any of these districts is what can I do. Well I have a suggestion , if you have a Democratic representative, you need to force them to choose a side. They are either with morality and against these seven Democrats or they are not. You can no longer give them shelter in the house of ambiguity. You need to know who they are.

Every single Democratic politician needs to be confronted with this choice , like the squad, like AOC and everyone else, period. If you’re a Democratic voter you now know there is no Democratic centrist moral position anymore. You’re either good or evil. You’re either a Democrat who believes in certain moralities or you’re a Republican who doesn't.
