AMD shares rose sharply recently. The stock climbed 23% in one day. This surge came from a big deal with OpenAI. OpenAI is a leading company in artificial intelligence, or AI. AI is technology that makes computers think and learn like humans.

What about Nvidia? Its stock dipped slightly after the news. But Nvidia is not in trouble. It still dominates. Nvidia’s software, called CUDA, is a big advantage. CUDA is a system developers use to program chips. Millions know it, so switching is hard. Nvidia also makes more profit per chip. It can invest in better tech. The AI market is growing fast, so both companies can win.

Intel faces tougher times. It has less than 3% of the AI chip market. This deal shows the market focusing on Nvidia and AMD. Intel’s chips have not caught on. But Intel is strong in CPUs, which are central processing units for general computing. Investors in Intel should focus on that, not AI chips.
