Why Being “Open Minded" is Necessary to Get Successful

The world is our school. Most of the people think they have done their learning after graduating from school. But it's a lie. Learning is endless. You can learn anything from anyone in this world if you broaden your mind and be open minded.

Because when you limit your mind with limiting beliefs and if you constantly judge others then you won't learn anything from anyone.

Let me give an example. Suppose you want to earn money through writing but you are not a writer and also you haven’t even written anything yet. So when you start writing a bit and you see people start noticing your writing, you’ll start to think that it’s really easy for me to write and I am going in the right way.

But when someone reads your writing and points you out what are the mistakes in your writing, suddenly you start to get angry. You start to think people love my writing and who the hell are you to judge my writing.

Now instead of reacting this way, if you were open minded and if you had the learning mindset you would see that criticism as an opportunity to grow and you would learn from that you had some mistakes in writing.

Now as you are a really open minded person you start to fix your writing to avoid those mistakes and guess what your writing started to get better than before.

Now see what happens when you shift your mindset from a limited, arrogant mindset to an open minded and learning mindset.

You start to learn constantly from everything and everyone around you. You start to notice the world in a different way where there will always be room for growth no matter how successful you become.

That’s why we should be open minded to receive not only compliments but also criticism as an opportunity to learn because you don’t know maybe an advice from a random person can change your whole life completely.
