‘Merge FATA with KP’, tribal people spoke up at D-Chowk

It was really a good for us, tribal people, when for the first time our youth and social leaders left homes and covered Islamabad’s D-Chowk to protest against FCR.

Not since the first Pakistan came into being but since the day FCR was introduced in tribal areas, we are deprived of each and every basic right. Our freedom to speak and write about our rights.

In FATA, the tribal areas when we protest peacefully, not only the protesters but everyone from the nook and crook is sent to prison, they ban our trade, close our markets, transport and stop our salaries. And we are fined in millions.

FCR law states that three basic rights are not applicable to the residents of FATA — appeal, wakeel and daleel.

BUT NOW — Our youth are well aware, our people know the situation of “Do or Die”.

It really encouraged us, when political leaders of almost all parties joined us today. They all spoke for our rights and demand FATA’s stakeholders to let tribal people live as independent citizens of Pakistan. We are thankful to all those politicians.

I noticed one thing, a lot of workers and supporters of political parties were holding flags to project their parties more than protesting for the rights of tribal people. I wish those all take their parties flags down and demand ‘merge FATA with KP’.

I am ashamed of those parliamentarians who were not there to support and encourage us. Their duty is to lead us. But we are really unfortunate having such politicians.

Finally, We, youth are on ground ahead of our parliamentarians, proudly. We demand strongly ‘Merge FATA with KP.
