Money in BDSM is not always as simple as people think it is. From the outside, some people see a Domme receiving payment or tribute and immediately assume that the whole thing is cold, shallow, or purely about money. But from my side of the dynamic, it is much more layered than that.

When a submissive pays me or gives me tribute, I feel powerful, appreciated, and respected. Not because my dominance depends on the money, because it does not. I am still dominant with or without tribute. My authority does not come from someone’s wallet. But tribute can be one of the many ways a submissive shows me his submission, devotion, respect, and willingness to give something of himself.

For me, consistency matters more than the size of the amount. Of course, I appreciate generous tributes. I would be lying if I said it does not feel good to be spoiled well. But what matters more to me is the intention and the continuity behind it. I prefer long-term D/s relationships over quick, temporary exchanges. I would rather build something meaningful with a submissive who consistently shows up, respects the structure, and understands his place, than deal with someone who sends one big amount but has no real desire to build a dynamic.
