What Goes Around Comes Around

What we give out to the world, whether good or bad, comes back to us in a similar fashion.

It’s an immutable law of the universe.

We don’t know who keeps the score. The only thing we can be sure of is that the scorekeeper is infallible and inexorable.

To be valued, provide value to others.

To be loved, love others.

To be respected, respect others.

To learn, teach others.

To receive kindness, give kindness.

Cheat others; be cheated.

Abuse others; face abuse.

Insult others; face humiliation.

Neglect responsibilities; face a crushing burden of unexpected responsibilities.

Inflict violence on others; suffer violence personally.

Neglect your parents; face neglect by your children.

Call it by any name you like: Karma, Universal Law. Natural Justice, or Cosmic Justice.

What goes around comes around, mysteriously and unfailingly.
