I love seeing my work out there more than once. More eyes on the words I really worked hard to craft.
“Shrapnel Over Chicago: August, 1989,” has been anthologized (MOTA 3: Courage), collected (CUL DE SAC STORIES, 2024) and now featured in WayWords Literary Journal (Feb 2026: ‘Wonder’). WayWords is part of The Writers Workout community.
Fun side note: I had to use the prompt ‘ectoplasm’ for this one along with a dozen other words for a newspaper call for submissions that never came to be, but it still gave me a decent story!
