Building a Faceless Page From Scratch: Week Update — 1,593 Followers, 3.3M Views, and a Restriction Finally Lifted

I’ve been documenting this journey publicly because I think there’s more value in showing the messy middle than just the highlight reel at the end. So here’s where things stand this week.

The Numbers So Far

The page has crossed 1,593 followers. Not viral by any stretch, but steady — and more importantly, real. Total views have hit 3.3M, which still surprises me every time I check the dashboard. A faceless page, no personal brand behind it, no face on camera, and yet the content is reaching millions of screens.

Numbers like these can be misleading if you stare at them too long. Followers don’t pay bills, and views don’t build an email list. But they do validate something important: the content-market fit is there. People are watching, people are staying long enough for the algorithm to keep pushing it, and that’s the foundation everything else gets built on.

The DM Restriction Lift

One piece of genuinely good news this week: Instagram lifted the DM restriction that had been limiting the page’s ability to interact with followers. If you’ve run a new or faceless page before, you know how much these restrictions can quietly choke growth — not just in visibility, but in the relationship-building that turns a follower into a lead, and a lead into a customer.

Getting this lifted means I can finally start engaging directly again: replying to DMs, running keyword automations properly, and building actual conversations with the audience instead of just broadcasting content into the void.

Still Waiting on Restriction #2

There’s a second restriction still in place, and it’s set to lift on July 21st. I won’t pretend I’m not impatient about this one — it’s the one standing between me and the next phase of the plan.

Platforms like Instagram treat new and faceless pages with a level of caution that makes sense from their side (spam prevention, bot detection, etc.), but it also means the early weeks require patience that most people underestimate. You can have the content, the hook, the numbers — and still be stuck waiting on the platform to trust you.

What Happens After July 21st

Once that second restriction lifts, the real monetization groundwork begins: email collection.

I already built the freebie weeks ago — it’s been sitting ready, waiting for the moment the page could actually support a proper funnel. The plan is simple:

• Use the freebie as the lead magnet
• Drive traffic through the page’s existing content and CTAs
• Start building an email list that isn’t dependent on any algorithm

This is the part that matters most long-term. Followers and views are rented attention — they live on someone else’s platform, subject to someone else’s rules. An email list is owned. It’s the difference between building on rented land and building on land you actually hold the deed to.

This week wasn’t dramatic. No breakout viral moment, no explosive follower spike. But it was a week of unlocking — one restriction down, infrastructure ready, and a clear date on the calendar for the next move.

Sometimes the most important weeks in a journey like this aren’t the ones with big numbers. They’re the ones where the blockers finally start clearing, and the path forward becomes obvious.
