Mindmap Of An Overthinker

The brain thinks about something to make it better or to derive an expected outcome. The issue arises when we think about the same thing over and over until the thought takes over & detach us from actual reality. Overthinking, the word itself carries more weight than you think. This specific feeling or visual concept can be properly explained by an overthinker. But this article is about understanding the feeling and the reason for its existence.
Let’s Think It Over
If we think deeply, we’ll realize that overthinking arises from a fear of making the wrong decision and future regrets (at the same time). There are a few types of feelings that we generally don’t talk about or express properly. Hence, it creates layers of thought that lead to overthinking. It can be stated that..
“The source of overthinking is the synergy of past experiences & unexpressed emotions.”
Overthinking is an invisible dimension that exists inside your mind. It’s a whirlpool of thoughts with a possibility of countless outcomes. It has the ability to slow down the psychological clock, and as a result, it makes an individual impatient over time. Moreover, it makes you feel you are waiting longer than usual for an outcome. However, an overthinking mind contains the power to reconstruct every possible result image in real time. The more you think about a particular event, the more it pulls into a new mental gallery of glitched reality.
If we dig deeply, we’ll witness that this glitched reality creates every possible scenario/image based upon our limited information, perception and past encounters. So, imagine if one individual can experience this kind of psychological difficulty, then what runs inside a significant number of individuals who have a habit of overthinking.
Now, let’s dissect this issue in a broad spectrum. We humans more or less have the habit of overthinking. So, when it comes to deciding on a big thing or choosing a better option for our society/ourselves, how exactly do we choose it?

It is possible that the information we pursue can be both true and false. Moreover, the existing information can be both useful & useless based upon our perception. However, they all depend on our past encounters, as our previous outcomes give a number of experiences to rely upon.
There is a possibility that overthinking can generate confusion between right & wrong. Based on our discussion, it can be stated that overthinking creates different possibilities/branches of a single thought. As a result, it enhances the confusion of an individual, for which they’ll go back and forth on their own decision.
Conclusion
As a personal opinion, the escalation of overthinking can be suppressed based on the understanding of the root cause of a problem or the depth of knowledge regarding a fact. At least, it can help to reduce the possibility of excessive thinking. The practice of critical thinking or logical reasoning can reduce overthinking in the long run.
