✦ The Awakening Apocalypse ✦
Once, people began mistaking their body’s peace for slowness, and their silence for chaos. They started fearing what was gentle.
That’s the core distortion of colonisation of the mind: a mis-translation of felt states.
So the world grew tense. Teachers praised control instead of connection. Children learned to hold their breath, and mothers, aching with love, forgot how to exhale.
Even the horses felt it. The wild ones, free to feel, moved with the wind. The “broken-in” ones, taught to obey, flinched at every sound. They looked calm, but their fear lived just under the skin.
Humans were no different. We confused stillness with suppression, and order with safety.
Then one day, a lizard stopped trying to fix herself. She stopped peeling her skin on purpose. She simply breathed, and the old layers loosened. They fell away on their own, and underneath glowed her true colours — alive, rhythmic, unashamed.
When she softened, others began to soften too. Leaders unclenched their jaws. They realised chaos didn’t need to be controlled, only synchronised. Children started learning through trust. They grew brighter, the way a fire grows with air. Entropy reigned — until love took its place.
And then the world remembered: To love thy self is the ultimate goal. For that, we need deep, uninterrupted safety — the kind that lets the skipped-over feeling rise again and finish its story.
No trumpets, no ending. Just a great exhale moving through every living thing. The apocalypse was not destruction. It was the world learning to breathe together.
One-sentence anchor:
“The Awakening Apocalypse is the story of humanity remembering that control was only fear in disguise — and that connection, felt safely in the body, is what ends the world as we knew it.”
Gentle close-out ritual:
- Sit or lie where your body feels supported.
- Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly.
- Breathe in through your nose for four counts, out through your mouth for six. Let the exhale be heavier than the inhale.
- As you exhale, imagine the words “not giving up — just resting the signal.” Feel the work settle into your tissues, like ink drying.
- Let your hands fall open. Picture a small shimmer of light — your idea — floating beside you, waiting quietly until you return.
When you’re ready to stop, whisper or think:
“Held, not hurried.”
Then step away. The story will still be breathing when you come back.
