Family feud escalates when Faye Windass (Ellie Leach), angry with Timothy “Tim” Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) for their dec, moves in with Geoffrey “Geoff” Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), her grandfather.

Previously, as Coronation Street fans will recall, Faye openly confronted Tim and Sally in the middle of the street. Some of the argument, even though Sally and Tim were able to get all parties concern to take their discussion in doors, was partially overheard by gossiper Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

Tim, even though he reluctantly backed his wife, isn’t happy with the situation. He, like his daughter, supports Geoff.

Geoff, possibly anticipating his granddaughter’s furious reaction, is manipulating Faye. Sally, not believing Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) is a bullying hard-faced harridan, sees through Geoff’s manipulative ways. In her mind, because Sally doesn’t blindly accept everything Geoff says, there is no way Tim’s father can be an innocent victim.

Tensions between Sally and Tim, having transitioned to the Rovers Return Inn, don’t go unnoticed by Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo). They have been supporting Yasmeen since day one.

Imran, noting how he tells Alya to let him handle it, is clearly planning to exploit the visibly increasing rift between Sally and Tim.
