How to Install Certificates on BlueStacks Air

BlueStacks Air is optimized for Mac with Apple Silicon, but installing custom certificates can be tricky since the traditional Android Security settings aren’t easily accessible through the standard interface.

Prerequisites

  • BlueStacks Air installed and running
  • Certificate file (.crt, .cer, or .pem format)

Step 0: Move certificate to BlueStacks

Drag&drop your certificate to BlueStacks, you should see it in bluestack media media manager.

Step 1: Install Termux

  1. Open BlueStacks Air
  2. Install Termux from the Google Play Store
  3. Launch Termux

Step 2: Access Security Settings via Command Line

In Termux, run this command:

am start -a android.settings.SECURITY_SETTINGS

This will directly open the Android Security settings that are normally hidden in BlueStacks Air’s interface.

After that select Encryptions&Credentials

And you will see Install Certificate, select certificate and click on it, that’s all!
