Sometimes, a single word can lead to an ocean of words in your mind. A single word can unfold into a chain of words, creating thoughts. Words that form memories.

Sometimes, when we hear certain words, they remind us of everything we associate with them.

Like when we hear home, it can bring an ocean of words with it — peace, a person, the feeling of being ourselves. It simply gives our minds a sense of calm.

Or when you hear rain, it can bring back memories of enjoying the rain with your friends, jumping into puddles as a child, dancing with your favorite person, or walking home from work, soaked in the rain, with your favorite music playing as the cool breeze brushes past you.

Or when you hear mountains, they can bring back memories of a trip or vacation with the people you value the most, or of being completely alone, finding solace in the quietness of the moment.

Some words can also lead to unpleasant memories.

Some words aren’t just words. They are oceans.

Some remind us of beautiful memories, like waves gently touching our feet. Others remind us of scars from the past.

But what remains is the present when those waves return to the ocean, reminding us that no moment stays forever. It becomes a memory, just as no wave stays on the shore forever — it always returns to the ocean.
