i show up as someone who’s here to learn. i see every single person as a source of knowledge, as an equal sparring partner in the arena of ideas and conscience. and here’s one fundamental truth we need to agree on when it comes to the very nature of being human there is something in a child before she’s told what to want, what to fear, and who to become. that pre-conditioned self—call it fitrah, call it innate goodness. but this light it’s absolute. it never truly dies—it just gets buried deep sometimes, covered up by ignorance, by societal conditioning, by manipulation, by quiet repetition of an idea that fitting in is the same as growing up, or even by systems that are designed to keep it hidden.

i carry this awareness into every classroom—as a student, as a teacher, as both. transferring information is the lowest bar. the real work is noticing the exact moment a student stops asking “why” and starts asking “will this be on the test?”—and refusing to let that be the end of the story. the true role of an educator is to be a Keeper of the Light. our job is to stimulate the synapses, to reignite critical thinking that’s been numbed or sedated by the system. it sounds simple on the surface, but if you look at it deeply, this is actually carrying the weight of an entire civilization on our shoulders.

let’s be honest about what we’re up against. there’s a well-orchestrated structure out there, intentionally designed to dim or even extinguish that light. we’re facing an oligarchy of narratives. they sell us arguments that sound logical on the surface, wrapped in fancy terms and packaged as progressive or modern. identity handed to you pre-assembled, so you never have to sit with the discomfort of building your own. but what’s the real goal? to impoverish the thinking of young people who are still searching for their identity and their place in the world. this is deliberate dumbing down—done by those who are terrified of people who think freely and independently.

but the real resistance, the genuine ideological struggle, happens right here: inside classrooms, staying honest in a conversation where lying would be easier. it’s saying “i don’t know” in front of people who expect you to. it’s choosing not to perform certainty you don’t actually have. this is the quietest form of jihad there is—upholding the Word of Allah and divine values simply through how you show up and who you are.

throw away the illusion that you need to be perfect or fully ready before you act. history was never saved by people who waited until everything was perfectly in place. civilization survives because of people brave enough to show up exactly as they are, and take a stand when it matters. the people who changed things weren’t less afraid—they just didn’t let fear make the decision.

ask the question you’ve been holding back. disagree out loud, at least once, in a room where it costs something. start there.

so move. start thinking clearly again. rekindle that light within you, and make sure it stays burning bright. because at the end of the day, that’s the very reason we exist here on earth: to make sure that truth and reason can never be permanently silenced by systems built on ignorance and stupidity.

we’re here so that ten years from now, there are still people who know how to think—not just what to think. that’s the only thing worth protecting.
