Of Fading Connections and Unsaid Goodbyes

Grieving the message that never comes

We think sudden loss hurts the most,

the kind that arrives without warning.

But no one talks about the slower kind:

the ties that quietly fade,

friends who leave us on read,

Or stop opening our messages at all.

It puts our life on hold,

our heart on pause.

Caught between letting go

or waiting for a message that never comes.

An ending without a proper goodbye

gives us a kind of grief

that cages the heart

far longer than expected.
