Emotional Purna Dharma Pawiyatan at MAN 1 Yogyakarta Honors the Memory of Renvy and Labib

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — A total of 273 students of MAN 1 Yogyakarta took part in the Purna Dharma Pawiyatan ceremony at Grha Sabha Pramana on Wednesday (May 13, 2026). The ceremony marked a new chapter for Grade XII students as they prepare to continue their education and pursue a brighter future.

Amid the joyful atmosphere, deep sorrow was also felt as the MAN 1 Yogyakarta family remembered two Grade XII students who had passed away: Muhammad Renvy Adzanazza Pratama from class XII F and Muhammad Labib Haidar from class XII PK 1. Although they are no longer physically present, their names and memories remain alive in the hearts of the school community.

As a tribute, Mansa Coustic performed a special presentation of the song “Gala Bunga Matahari,” sung by Najwa Rise from class XII B. The atmosphere turned emotional as photos and video memories of Renvy and Labib were displayed during the performance. In addition, a poem dedicated to both students was recited by Aryasatya Kenzie from class XII C in front of all attendees.

The sense of loss became even more touching through symbolic tributes placed on seats during the ceremony. Renvy’s basketball jersey was draped over a chair as a representation of his spirit and memories with the MAN 1 Yogyakarta basketball team. Meanwhile, Labib’s school uniform was placed on another chair as a symbol of remembrance for the moments shared during his time at the madrasah.

The Head of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that this year’s Purna Dharma Pawiyatan carried both pride and deep emotion.

“Renvy and Labib may no longer be physically with us, but their spirit, memories, and kindness will always live in the hearts of the MAN 1 Yogyakarta family. Today’s tribute proves that the brotherhood and togetherness built during their time at the madrasah will never disappear,” he said.

The ceremony became a reminder that even though Renvy and Labib have passed away, their memories, spirit, and kindness will always remain a part of the MAN 1 Yogyakarta family. (mzs)
