What a Mercury/Pluto day yesterday was. King Charles has Cancer and the internet was full of people (many of them women) tearing down the younger winners at the Grammies for various reasons. So, I made a video giving a shout out for trying to find JOY in these things rather than immediately tearing down. A commenter said it’s not within my ‘remit’ to criticize how people respond to ‘anything’. I say it’s as much my right to call for finding the joy instead of tearing down as it is theirs to criticise the celebs. And the same applies to you telling me it’s not in my remit as long as we don’t personally attack. Astrologically, it’s all very Mercy/Pluto and suggests that a lot of truth-telling is going to happen over the next 20 years.

I found it upsetting to see women tearing other women down. I definitely have a right to do that and my responsibility (remit) is only to speak my truth as kindly as I can. My rant was pretty mild and no names were mentioned. Have a listen — it’s short — and I also take a (very) quick look at the charts of Taylor Swift, Kind Charles, and Princess Catherine.

But, since this is my blog, I am going to give a shout out again for just feeling the joy instead of jumping to outrage over little things. It was a an amazing night for women. So, I celebrate that joyfully.

Today, Venus in Capricorn squares the Moons Nodes and the Aquarius Sun sextiles the North Node and trines the South. This means that we are fast approaching the next two Eclipses, a Lunar (full Moon) Eclipse on March 25th and the massive Solar Eclipse on April 8th and these aspects will begin to indicate what’s coming. This is a pic I found of the area that is and was crossed by totality in both the August 2017 total Solar Eclipse and the upcoming Total Eclipse that’s twice as long as the 2017 one. And we are at Solar maximum so it should be spectacular and ‘interesting’ to watch as the 2017 Eclipse definitely brought division in the USA and that rippled out globally.

Today’s aspects to the Nodes all occur at 17˚, which is an 8 in an 8 year. This suggests to me more of a stabilizing and reward vibe. Eclipses are resets so perhaps a reset of stability. However, I have a lot of things to look at for the massive April 8th Eclipse so more to come.

Just pay attention to what comes up in the news and in your life with today’s aspects. They are pulling you towards more of that self-actualization and taking a stand for you energy.

The Capricorn Moon brings it’s usual determined energy with a big boost from a trine to Jupiter in Taurus and a conjunction with pandora’s box Centaur Pholus, who is both revealing root pain and helping us to heal our roots, to release the pain, and to move into a more expansive and embodied sense of ‘self’ as we begin to break the long held patterns in ourselves, our families, and in our societies.

What’s come up for you over the past months and even years, may no longer hold the same charge it did, or you may still be working on releasing that trauma. This is especially true if, like me, you have placements around 7˚ Capricorn and the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). I have multiple planets at 6/7/8˚ so it’s no wonder why I was talking to my therapist about this late yesterday.

Early tomorrow Ceres, the dwarf planet of of our needs (both met and unmet) moves into Capricorn where she will remain until Dec 7th when she enters Aquarius and conjuncts both Pluto and Venus at 0˚ Aquarius. This journey will help you to look at creating structures and boundaries to help you to meet your own needs and take responsibility for your emotional well being.

I am immediately reminded of Miley Cyrus’ song Flowers which, whilst a break up song for sure, can also speak to how you treat yourself at any time even in long term relationships. This, of course, doesn’t mean tolerating toxic relationships, it’s more of a call to not expect anyone else to fill all your needs. So that brings me to my usual call to do great self care and learn to love yourself and all its parts. Because Astrology is really parts work for me.

Overall it’s a day to build and grow. To quote Taylor swift, ‘If they don’t like you for being yourself, be yourself even more’. That Libra South Node says let go of co-dependent ways and beliefs and the Aries North Node says learn to love yourself. And maybe buy yourself flowers :)
