Is the clock broken? Or did time refuse to run for others? Every hour, every minute, every second feels like a forgotten ancient story, echoing something lost, something deep.
The chipped pocket watch clicks like the heartbeat of a person on a deathbed—sometimes fast, sometimes slow—breathing its last breaths.
Everyone says, "Time heals everything."
But does it really? It never truly erases the memories lodged in your mind.
Everyone says, "Time fixes the wounds."
Yet it surely leaves crimson traces on your skin—scars, perhaps?
Time isn’t something that acts on its own, as people think. It lives inside us, threading our lives in segments for us to hold.
We miss opportunities and moments, forget people and memories, and we blame it all on time, don’t we? But time won’t feel what we feel. It won’t act as we want it to. It will just run the way it wants.
Will the clock break under the burden it carries?
