From Preparation to Achievement: MAN 1 Yogyakarta’s Strategy for TKA Success

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Success in facing the Academic Competency Test (TKA) is not built overnight, but through careful and early preparation. With this in mind, MAN 1 Yogyakarta organized a socialization and motivation program aimed at preparing students for TKA and future university studies. The event was held in collaboration with Ganesha Operation, a well-known tutoring institution, and took place in classrooms on Monday (April 27, 2026).

Running from 12:30 to 15:00 WIB, the program is part of the school’s strategy to equip Grade XI students with a comprehensive understanding of TKA while also building their mental and academic readiness for higher education. Students showed strong enthusiasm throughout the session, reflecting their growing awareness of the importance of early preparation for future academic challenges.

The materials were delivered by experienced tutors from Ganesha Operation. The sessions covered both fundamental and technical aspects of TKA, including exam schedules, objectives, subject coverage, question types, and effective test-taking strategies. Students were also introduced to essential skills such as time management, consistent study habits, and mental readiness for exams.

An interactive and communicative approach made the sessions engaging, allowing students to better understand and internalize the information. As a partner, Ganesha Operation brought proven expertise in academic preparation, combining face-to-face learning methods with digital tools to demonstrate adaptive learning strategies in today’s educational environment.

Head of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., emphasized that readiness for TKA cannot be developed instantly. He stated that the school is committed to providing early preparation so that students can build strong understanding and effective learning strategies. “This is part of our effort to guide students toward a better academic future,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Wakhid Hasyim, added that based on previous experience, thorough preparation has led to very satisfying results. He noted that this year, the school aims to further improve outcomes by strengthening TKA literacy starting from Grade XI, ensuring students are not only academically prepared but also more confident in facing each stage of the selection process.

As seen in the 2025 TKA implementation, structured and continuous preparation has proven to have a positive impact on student achievement. This success has become a strong foundation for MAN 1 Yogyakarta to continue improving its academic development programs through enhanced materials, mentoring, and collaboration with competent external partners.

Through this initiative, MAN 1 Yogyakarta hopes to instill the understanding that success is not only determined by ability, but also by preparation, strategy, and perseverance.
