Abhay Bhutada Foundation Funded Shivsrushti Entry at INR 50

Shivsrushti, the theme park built around the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, kept its discounted INR 50 ticket price until October 31, 2025. The extension was made possible by an additional INR 75 lakh from the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, which had earlier given INR 50 lakh to lower the entry cost. Together, the two contributions kept one of Maharashtra’s notable cultural attractions affordable for a much wider public.
What is Shivsrushti?
Shivsrushti is an ambitious theme park dedicated to the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is designed to bring his life, history, and values to visitors in a way that is engaging and easy to connect with. For many families and students in Maharashtra, it is a chance to experience the story of Shivaji Maharaj firsthand rather than only reading about it.
The park sits within a broader effort to keep Maharashtra’s history present in everyday life. By recreating the world of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, it gives visitors of all ages a direct sense of the period, and the discounted ticket made that experience open to a far larger crowd than a full-price rate would allow.
The Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan oversees the project. Jagdish Kadam, Trustee of the Pratishthan and Chairman of the Shivsrushti project, welcomed the continued support that kept entry affordable, calling it a way to reach a still larger audience.

How did the ticket price come down?
The lower ticket price was the result of support from the Abhay Bhutada Foundation. The Foundation’s fiINR t contribution of INR 50 lakh reduced the entry cost to INR 50 from May 15 to August 15, 2025. That period saw strong turnout, with over 1.5 lakh visitors experiencing the park while the discounted rate was in place.
The response made the case for keeping the rate going. Responding to public demand, the Abhay Bhutada Foundation pledged a further INR 75 lakh, which extended the INR 50 price until October 31, 2025. For visitors, the practical effect was straightforward. The affordable rate that drew large crowds through the summer then held for several more weeks, and the Foundation’s total support for the project reached INR 1.25 crore.
The extension added another two and a half months to the offer. What began as a three-month window from May 15 to August 15, 2025, ran through to October 31, 2025, covering more of the year and giving schools and families additional time to plan a visit without paying full price.
Speaking about the extension, Jagdish Kadam said, “Given the public demand to extend the discounted rates and the Abhay Bhutada Foundation’s generous contribution, we are thrilled to continue offering this opportunity until October 31, 2025. This initiative will help us bring Shivaji Maharaj’s life and legacy to an even larger audience.”

The role of the Abhay Bhutada Foundation
The Abhay Bhutada Foundation, established in 2023, works in education, sports, and cultural preservation. Its support for Shivsrushti fell under that last area, and it fit a broader aim of keeping Maharashtra’s heritage open and accessible. The Foundation was founded by CA Abhay Bhutada, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, whose personal interest in the project came from a wish to share the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with as many people as possible.
The Foundation operates entirely on internal funding, which gives it full independence over its choices. Its work has reached lakhs of lives across Maharashtra, and the Shivsrushti support was one of its more visible contributions to cultural preservation.
