Meow Wolf’s Cosmic Comic is My New Obsession ✨

When Meow Wolf dropped a digital comic, I knew I had to check it out IMMEDIATELY. Like — shut down all my tabs, full-screen mode, “do not disturb” activated (don’t tell my boss🤫). We already live for their immersive exhibits, so the idea of them turning that beautiful brain-melting chaos into sequential art?? Inject it straight into my collector’s soul.

It’s called Confessions of a Taver, and yep, it’s as weird and wonderful as you’d expect. Start reading here!
👉 TL;DR:
- Who: Meow Wolf, Artist Eduardo Francisco + more (See “Full Credits”)
- What: Short form comic series
- Where: Online
- When: Ongoing publishing, Ep.1 03/25/25 — Ep.2 04/02/25
Radio signals from another universe
“This short-form comic series follows Robin from Radio Tave on his epic travels through the Meow Wolf universes, blending bold visuals and storytelling. No deep lore required, just pure, immersive artistry.” https://meowwolf.com/comics
MC Robin is a super charismatic radio host from a station called Radio Tave, broadcasting out of Houston’s Fifth Ward. (IRL location? Check. Meow Wolfifying it into cosmic fiction? Also, check.) This dude stumbles into interdimensional nonsense through a Meow Wolf-esque portal. It’s got alien oceans. Living water. Neon brain vibes. Honestly? Peak Meow Wolf.
Best part — like they said, you don’t need to be a lore expert. You can jump in with zero background and still get completely hooked. It’s giving Strange World, multiverse energy, late-night dream logic, and a splash of “what did I just read” vibes✨
So far we’ve got:
- Episode 1: “Just One Step” — Robin takes a literal leap into the unknown 👉 https://meowwolf.com/comics/episode/just-one-step
- Episode 2: “H₂Oh No” — Things get weird and wonderful. I’m never looking at a body of water the same way again. 👉 https://meowwolf.com/comics/episode/h2oh-no
The story team is STACKED✍️🌀
…and I mean stacked. We’re talking Michael J. Wilson, Julianne Aguilar, Collin Stapleton, James Longmire, Billiam Rodgers, and Elena Nava — with Devon Giehl holding it down as Head of Story. Eduardo Francisco’s art absolutely pops off the page. It feels like walking through an exhibit, but you’re scrolling instead of physically wandering (and no line for the bathroom)

The Verdict: This is a match made in LBE and Graphic Novel Heaven
“Confessions of a Taver” isn’t just a comic — it’s a companion piece to the Meow Wolf experience. It’s immersive art you can read on your couch. It’s like finding a zine at the end of a secret hallway, but the hallway is your browser.
One of the coolest things about Confessions of a Taver is how it expands Meow Wolf’s LBE universe without needing a physical location. You don’t have to be in Denver, Santa Fe, Vegas, or Grapevine to tap into the chaos. The comic becomes its own immersive experience — one that lives in your browser instead of a neon jungle of hallways.
It’s kind of genius, honestly. It’s not just merch. It’s not a side project. It’s an extension of the worldbuilding, told in a whole new medium. The same feeling you get walking into an exhibit — the curiosity, the disorientation, the “wait what just happened??” — now happens in sequence, frame by frame, word bubble by word bubble.
It blurs the line between physical and digital storytelling. And if you’re an LBE nerd like me, it’s a reminder that immersive experiences don’t have to be walkable — they can be readable, too.
More of this, please. 🙏🔥
