When I first heard about vibe coding, I was curious — could this really make coding accessible to anyone, even kids? Fast-forward a few weeks, and my 11-year-old proved the answer is a resounding yes.

Inspired by the Netflix documentary My Kid Could Paint That, this post is a reflection on creativity, technology, and the incredible new tools that empower kids to become creators — not just consumers.

A few days ago, my son launched his very first vibe-coded game: a charming little world called **Slime Game (Beta)*. It’s simple, colorful, and surprisingly fun — but more than anything, it’s his*. Every animation, interaction, and piece of logic came from his own curiosity and imagination.

Watching him build it was a reminder of how far we’ve come. When I was his age, learning to code meant typing mysterious commands into a black terminal. Today, kids can build interactive experiences through visual logic, real-time feedback, and immediate creative reward. That’s the magic of vibe coding — it speaks the same language kids do: intuition, play, and creativity.

But beyond the technical skills, vibe coding teaches something deeper: problem solving, patience, and ownership. My son didn’t just play a game — he built one. He saw an idea in his head and brought it to life, step by step, bug by bug. That moment when he hit “Play” and saw it work? Pure joy.
