oh darling, all of the city lights never shine as bright as your eyes

to the boy who made seven feel complete

"it’s been four months."

i’ve heard those words so many times that they have almost lost their meaning. people say it as if those four months were enough to heal us. as if the pain had an expiry date. as if we were supposed to wake up one morning and suddenly be okay.

but we’re not.

we never thought we would have to imagine ENHYPEN as six. for years, seven felt complete. seven voices, seven smiles, seven personalities that somehow fit together perfectly. every member had a place, and every fan had a reason to smile because of them.

then one random tuesday, everything changed.

i still remember scrolling through my phone and seeing the announcement. at first, I thought it was fake. i refreshed my screen again and again, hoping someone would say it was a misunderstanding. but it wasn’t.

that day felt strangely quiet.

it wasn’t just the silence around me—it was the silence inside me. i didn’t know what to say or how to react. i just stared at the screen, wishing I could go back to the day before, when everything still felt normal.

since then, life has moved on.

there have been new performances, new schedules, new content, and new memories. the members continue to work hard, and as ENGENEs, we continue to support them with all our hearts.

but every time they stand together, there is a small space in my heart that notices someone is missing.

sometimes I go back and watch old EN-O’CLOCK episodes. i tell myself I’m watching them because they’re funny. but deep down, i know it’s because I miss those little moments that we never realized would become memories.

the way they laughed together.

the random jokes.

the teasing.

the comforting words.

the late-night lives that made us feel like we were spending time with friends instead of idols.

back then, we didn’t know those moments would become something we’d hold onto so tightly.

we thought there would always be more.

one more comeback.

one more concert.

one more group photo.

one more "hello, we are ENHYPEN."

none of us knew that one day we’d miss something as simple as seeing all seven standing together.

people who aren’t fans might not understand why this hurts so much.

they’ll say, "they’re just celebrities."

but to us, they were part of our everyday lives. they made difficult days easier. they gave us songs that comforted us when nobody else could. they made us laugh when we wanted to cry.

being an ENGENE was never just about listening to music.

it was about growing up alongside seven boys who worked endlessly to chase their dreams while inspiring us to chase ours.

that’s why this goodbye felt personal.

not because we owned them.

but because they became a part of our lives without even realizing it.

four months later, I still find myself smiling at old clips before remembering they belong to the past.

sometimes a performance appears on my feed, and for a second, everything feels normal again. then I remember.

there won’t be another new OT7 stage.

no more new interviews with all seven.

no more chaotic group moments that include everyone.

only memories.

and somehow, memories can be both the most beautiful and the most painful thing to hold onto.

still, I don’t regret becoming an ENGENE.

if anything, I’m grateful.

grateful for every comeback that made us scream with excitement.

grateful for every late-night livestream that made us feel less alone.

grateful for every concert, every laugh, every inside joke, every smile, and every unforgettable performance.

those memories cannot be taken away.

no matter how much time passes, nobody can erase the happiness we experienced together.

maybe that’s what loving an artist really means.

it means supporting them through change.

it means respecting the path they choose, even when it breaks your heart.

it means smiling because they are chasing their dreams, while quietly missing the days when your favorite memories were still being made.

the chapter may have ended, but the story we shared will always remain.

whenever I hear those old songs or see old videos, I won’t just remember the sadness of saying goodbye.

i’ll remember seven dreamers who changed millions of lives—including mine.

and maybe, years from now, we’ll still look back at OT7 with tears in our eyes and smiles on our faces.

because some memories don’t fade.

some people don’t disappear from your heart just because they’ve walked onto a different stage.

and maybe that’s what being an ENGENE truly means.

not forgetting.

but remembering with love.
