Core components of Output Control :

1. Framework

• Output management or Output determination

2. Output type

• e.g., a quotation, an order confirmation, a sale contract
• defines output parameters for the document
• one application object type can have one or more output types

3. Output parameter determination / Output condition records finding by condition technique

• defines HOW the system determines the output parameters for a specific business document
• based on document attributes, rules from decision tables (for output management framework) determine the output type, channel, recipient, printer settings, form template, email addresses etc.

4. Output channel

• output channel is the medium of the output
• e.g., print, email, EDI (IDoc / XML)

5. Form templates

• defines layout and content of the output
