These are known as opportunistic infections.

- Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP)
- Certain fungal infections

How Does ART Help?
Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) is the standard treatment for HIV.
ART does not eliminate HIV from the body, but it significantly reduces the amount of virus present in the bloodstream.
