Words & Actions Can Catch Up With a Person: The Sudden Death of Lindsey Graham

Well, it seems God finally pulled the plug on Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina on Saturday. When I read about his death Sunday, I can’t say I was surprised since I feel he finally went too far in his words about Gaza and was signing his own death warrant. Half of Gaza’s population are children, and Jesus gave a warning about harming and corrupting them. Others in Washington who have spoken similar words should take heed, but I will not hold my breath in any expectation that they will.

US legacy media always tries to soften the blows, muddy the waters about our overlords. I prefer to call a spade a spade, and I will do so here.

If you do research on articles about Lindsey Graham, he is more diplomatically referred to as a “war hawk”. I feel the term is too soft and apologetic, politically correct like too much of the language has become. The term “warmonger” is a more blunt and better term to describe Lindsey Graham who was unapologetic in the extreme about his lust for war.

Others have said and written about him, and I agree that the man never saw a war or potential military confrontation that he didn’t like. Because of how he voted and how he helped in the planning of wars since the beginning of his term in office millions are dead and displaced.

Last Saturday evening, Lindsey Graham went into cardiac arrest at his home, shortly after returning from Ukraine with a meeting with President Zelensky. Even though the Ukrainians have basically lost the war, Graham was probably over there encouraging Zelensky to not submit and allow this war of attrition to continue grinding on.

Born in 1955 in South Carolina, Lindsey Graham had been a military lawyer with the rank of colonel in the US Air Force. He had been a senator since 2003 and was in the House of Representatives from 1995 until he was elected into the senate.

I first noticed Graham during the Obama era. He looked like a typical aging Southern white man, with silvery white hair, almost a mild mannered Mr. Rogers sort of look. He gave off the essence of car salesman and what used to be called “a policy man”, men who sold life insurance policies. Fifty years ago and more white men were always the ones out selling insurance. However, Lindsey Graham was no milquetoast. He had an effeminate sounding but savage tongue.

By now my tolerance of most politicians is over. I see the average American politician as little more than a war profiteer and criminal. Hours after his demise, the media was busy covering up and sanitizing his legacy, while in real life Lindsey Graham was a nasty and horrendous piece of work.

His political mentor was John McCain, another warmonger whom the media spent years repeating what a great war hero he was just because the plane he was flying during a bombing mission had been shot down during the Vietnam War; he was injured and held prisoner for five years.

McCain ran for president against Barack Obama and lost, much to his chagrin. Lindsey Graham and John McCain were pals and were seen together more than the latter was seen with his wife. These two were truly birds of a feather. After much gleeful warmongering McCain was suddenly diagnosed with cancer and died not long afterwards.

It was years before George W. Bush’s image was rehabilitated by the media after the war of aggression against Iraq which left 1.5 million dead. Now he is portrayed as a humble painter and best buddies with the Obamas. Whenever he is rolled out and the Obamas are in the vicinity, he is always seen cozying up to Michelle Obama. I believe it is an act on both their parts. I have no idea why the media and our “public servants” are in such a rush to whitewash Lindsey Graham, but no matter, there’s always an agenda.

Of course, Lindsey Graham was a staunch supporter of Israel, and certainly Bibi Netanyahu has come out singing praises, calling Graham courageous and a “beloved friend”. There is now one less loyalist for Israel in DC, but still there remains many more.

Darlene Graham Nordone, the sister of Lindsey Graham, who is not an elected official will complete his term. South Carolina’s governor has appointed her to the position. I don’t know how that is legal, but perhaps it is, but if it isn’t we live in a time of blatant lawlessness and corruption, so I guess it doesn’t matter.

The shock jock of senators on Capitol Hill, Lindsey Graham was the voice of unabashed military aggression and imperialism. Sadly he is not alone, but he was one of the most visible and well-known known of the despicable, bought out, superficial, opportunist, and war profiteering US politicians.

The words and actions of people like Lindsey Graham are highly inflammatory, but for those of us that are not delusional about the system, the plus is that the enemy being open and not covert about who he is and what he stands for is a good thing, because then we know where we and society stand.

I will conclude with some of Lindsey Graham’s quotes and his words on camera.

America has no better friend than Israel. We have common values and common enemies. Israel is a blessing to America’s national security.

On Donald Trump in 2016:

If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed….and we will deserve it.

On Donald Trump in 2019:

I personally like him. We play golf. He’s very nice to me….

On John McCain:

He had a romantic view of our nation to his last breath. Literally almost to the last thing he said to me was, “I love you. I have not been cheated.”

On Gaza and the Palestinians:

Give Israel what they need to fight the war we can’t afford to lose. This is Hiroshima and Nagasaki on steroids.

Gaza is going to look like Tokyo and Berlin at the end of World War II when this is over. And if it doesn’t look that way, Israel made a mistake.
