Nowadays it is going higher to shift in a cozy flat than a spacious home. Naturally there are very less options to plant outdoor plants than indoor. Sometimes people get confused about choosing indoor plants and how to treat them.. right? Even I was confused .. then I did some research and now I can suggest you some with my expertise on this.

So how to choose it?.. Only for eye soothing aesthetic looks?.. No.. But indoor plants can keep your mind calm and get positive vibes too. It has lots of health benefits also.

Here are a small list:

  1. Spider Plant: Spider plants, or Chlorophytum comosum, are extremely easy to grow, don’t require constant attention and thrive with little investment on your behalf.
  2. Peace Lily: The name “peace lily” definitely evokes a sense of calm. These sturdy plants also “flower and are aesthetically pleasing” and may benefit your health over time.
  3. Pathos: Pothos is one of the easiest houseplants to grow. This tropical vine comes in a variety of foliage colors and patterns. Pothos can be trimmed and kept compact, allowed to trail from hanging baskets, or trained up vertical supports.
  4. ZZ Plants: The naturally shiny leaves of the ZZ plant require little effort to maintain their good looks. Simply dust them off with a damp cloth (leaf sprays may damage the foliage). ZZ plants also do well in medium/bright, indirect light. Keep in mind that all parts of the plant are toxic, so keep away from children and pets.
  5. Australian Umbrella: The ideal conditions for the tall Australian umbrella tree are high sunlight and minimal watering. This tree can eventually grow up to 10 feet tall, so one day you can actually sit in the shade under its umbrella-like canopy.
  6. Alocasia regal shield: More commonly known as the elephant ear plant, Alocasia regal shield can grow up to five feet tall under optimal conditions, which include a higher humidity environment .
  7. Snake Plant: Snake Plants are decorative and extremely low-maintenance. The plants only need to be watered when the soil is dry, grow in any kind of light, and generally “thrive on neglect”. It is proven that removing toxins from nature snake plant is a good option.

There are many more options like succulents and cactus, English Ivy, Robber plant, Ferns, Herbs, Monstera etc.

You can choose any one from them or according to your choice.

Sometimes it feels like no amount of cooling fans or windows wide open will make a hot and stuffy house cooler. But there’s actually an inexpensive and environmentally-friendly way to help keep your home cool during hot weather — and it’s all down to houseplants.
