AWS Summit 2025 LA | Event Photo Album & Experience
September 17th, 2025 | Los Angeles Convention Center DT-LA
AWS held their annual summit in Los Angeles on September 17th, 2025. I was able to attend this complimentary event and had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, collaborate with other peers in labs and workshops, and got live direct answers from AWS staff and experts right then and there on demand.
It was awesome to have that type of help right there because there were times I was stuck and I just asked someone and they already knew how to fix my issue. I took advantage of this for every workshop, talks, and self-pace learning.
What was cool was that they had a mobile app that you could customize your AWS Summit calendar and whole experience by choosing breakout sessions to best fit your business needs, and you could participate in hands-on workshops, customer showcases, and lots of networking with people that are in the same caliber and momentum to scale just like you. The whole building was full of people that won’t take no for an answer. Even the camera man and security — lol

DT-LA ajacent building to the Convention center. There is a rooftop bar at the left, the right and front side appears to be a carosel ride, maybe a small theme park up there. I was in awe. I couldn’t believe this was there and I wanted to go visit. However, it is not worth it as DT-LA is a mess all the time. Unpredictable traffic, people everywhere, I am stressed out just thinking about the traffic.

Welcome to AWS Summit 2025! This is the front entrace, decked out with AWS letters for a photo op. There was a DJ booth playing music all day, which I thought was a great must-have because it kept the entergy going. The huge banner was so colorful, and along with the building’s architecture, this event felt like it was a global summit event and it was. There were leaders from all over the globe that flew in just so they could attend, learn, and get first-hand experience with AWS’s newest products and developments. Also connecting with other founders, CEOs, and tech leads.

Welcome to AWS Summit 2025 | Pick up your badge and register. I headed over to the main floor where everyone was at and all booths were eager to start chatting and demo-ing all of their products. This event was everything AI and it was so fun!

One of the stands that was set up in the front and you could grab for free were pins. These were for your lanyard to add to your badge and represent. This was brilliant, and I took a few for souvenirs and I can display it later.

Inside AWS Main Booth Hallway. Every major brands were there from Datadog, Snowdata, Couchbase, AMD, New Relic, etc. I can’t remember everyone. Every booth had lots of folks prepared to answer questions about their products and deliverables. I went to a lot of them, mostly the ones that I already used and wanted to meet the team to pick on their product knowledge and use cases.

Booths everywhere! All booths had swag and stickers. I got a bunch of stickers because for some reason PMs and Eng love stickers. I am no exception. Some stickers were super cool with different memes from the internet. Some were the logos, mostly were. I like these so much, I put them on my computer. My favorite stickers are from New Relic, AMD, and GitLab.

More booths and various sessions. The top right corner is a booth that did donations. I did four bags of donation and wrote special notes too for each of the bags I assembled. Also, AWS sessions had these cool headphones at every chair so people can hear better. I even saw at the end of every use, the lovely staff cleaned and wiped them down for sanitary single use cleaning.

AWS AI Gaming experience! This whole area was so cool as you can see. There was a Gen AI Sports race doing something with your hands, and the Real Time Race Tracker where you game and do live streaming content at the same time. Also another table you could do a hackathon and help train AI models. This was so fun!

I headed towards the workshops to take a class: AIM305: Practical generative AI using Amazon Nova. It was a 2.5 hour workshop to learn how we can use Amazon Nova within Bedrock. Nova models can be used to deliver impact to businesses today with practical generative AI applications. Our AWS experts taught us use cases like document understanding, conversational assistants, and multimodal content generation. Nova has insane capabilities and I further went to a self pace study after learning better from this class.

This is the main area looking from the area

I met a new friend at lunch! We shared a table and had a lovely conversation about what we did. We ended up connecting on LinkedIn and agreed that we’ll keep each other posted on the next event in LA. Such a smart young man!

Lunch is served! AWS complimented everyone on a first come first served basis. On the menu: Grilled Chicken or Cauliflower Korean Bowls. There was more than plenty enough for everyone. Even after about an hour, there were a lot of the Cauliflower Bowls left. Drinks and beverages were served and served in the AM and afternoon for refreshments.

AWS also had a Passport Prize where you can go to each booth, get a star stamp, and then get a prize at 1PM and 6PM until swag is gone. There were a variety of stuff including cup holder, bag, notebooks, etc. I grabbed a AWS logo bag as a souvenir.

My Self-Study after I left my Kubernetes and Nova classes. I ended up playing in the Bedrock console and got familiar with using different Nova models. Thank you AWS!

So techy. Every booth nearly had a happy hour so that you can go after the summit. I didn’t take advantage of this because the traffic and it was going to take me 2 hours to get home on the 405.

More pictures inside the main hallway.

I went to many booths to interact and see what AI is being used for each AWS departments. This particular one, AWS Public Sector for Health & Nonprofit booth was where you can take a photo, and it’ll generate a character for you. Mine was off, so we didn’t end up doing it.

More booths, workshops, and speaking panels. The whole day was filled with things to do and so many people to talk to about new AI integrated products with AWS. Definitely a great summit and they really took care of everyone with the little things. Such as the free lanyard pin stands (self-served), free beverages throughout the day, all booths had plenty of swag and stickers. No booth was shy to give out stuff to passer bys.

Refreshments all day. Thank you AWS and staff!

intel. ai came through with robotics demos. This was pretty cool I don’t know what it does but I wanted to capture this.

Watch Swami Sivasubramanian’s photo hologram speak to guests at the summit. This was by far the coolest booth!

This booth was very cool. It was the Generative AI Avatar Experience. You could talk to the speaker in the AI box right there. He looked so real, and he was speaking and conversing to whoever wanted to test this model out. This was by far, the coolest thing I saw there. It brought virtual reality to a whole to arena. Now, you could be anywhere and take calls. Can you imagine there will be rooms now, where these boxes are all set up to sit in a meeting. They would be standing or sitting in their virtual environment, and then talk to each other. No one has to be present, they all talk to each other virtually. Trust me, someone’s already doing this idea.

I stopped by my favorite booth: New Relic | I also did a self-study and played around with Amazon Bedrock. I tuned a few models within Nova mostly their chat feature and video feature. This was so insightful and learning now to better this with the staff right there teaching and guiding you was an experience you cannot get this anywhere else unless you’re at AWS.

Headphones were everywhere! The staff cleaned them after each use. I saw them do it with my own eyes so I wanted to note that here too that they took care of their attendees.

Panels, keynotes all day.

AWS offered a 50% off coupon: SKILLS50 | I subscribed and this coupon was a great perk to have. It expires September 30, 2025.

The event was a great experience. I met a few folks, connected with a lot of them. I will be attending next year as well. Special thanks to the DJ booth for putting up with playing music from 7AM to 6PM without a break.

The crowd in the evening after the event is about to wrap up.

Parking was extremely easy to get to. I parked in the South side of the building, and it took less than 3 minutes into the convention center straight into the area where the summit was held. Parking was $27 all day and you pay upfront. It was worth it.

All the stickers I collected at each booth. I will be putting these on notebooks, walls, computers, and giving them out too. All PMs and Eng folks love stickers. I remember we had stickers whilst my time at Google and we would give them out all the time during events. People put these stickers everywhere.
Special Thank You to AWS, security, staff, boards, all of the booth and event hosts/sponsors. Thank you for making this summit one of the best AWS has ever held, and my first AWS Summit. I will be planning my trip again for next year. I hope to see you there!
